City Centre Deira

City Centre Deira, originally known as Deira City Centre, is a landmark shopping mall located in the Port Saeed area of Dubai, United Arab Emirates. It opened on November 28, 1995, making it one of Dubai's earliest large-scale retail developments and the flagship mall of the Majid Al Futtaim Group.

At the time of its launch, the mall was the largest in the region, constructed at an initial cost of around 300 million dirhams. Its strategic location at the crossroads between Sharjah, Bur Dubai, and Dubai International Airport made it highly accessible, attracting a wide customer base from across the northern Emirates and Dubai itself.

The mall features over 370 retail stores spread across three levels, covering approximately 1.2 million square feet of retail space, including major anchor stores such as Carrefour and Sharaf DG. City Centre Deira offers a diverse mix of shopping options, from international clothing brands like Zara and Massimo Dutti to electronics, cosmetics, jewelry, and toys.

It also boasts over 58 restaurants and cafés along with two international food courts offering an array of cuisines. Among its highlights is the Magic Planet family entertainment center, which includes video games, simulators, and theme rides.

Over the years, City Centre Deira has undergone multiple renovations and expansions, including a significant redevelopment in 2011 that added 55 new stores, and a US$5.9 million upgrade in 2013 that enhanced the central court, food courts, and metro access.

The mall receives over 22 million visitors annually and plays a vital role in Dubai's retail landscape, maintaining its relevance in a city known for world-class shopping destinations. Its proximity to adjoining hotels like Pullman Dubai Deira City Centre and Aloft City Centre Deira further establishes it as a vibrant hub for shopping, dining, and entertainment.
