BurJuman

BurJuman is one of the oldest and most iconic shopping malls in Dubai, located in the Bur Dubai district of the city at the intersection of Khalid Bin Waleed Street and Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Street.

It was developed and is owned by the Al Ghurair Group. The mall originally opened its doors on November 5, 1991, making it one of the pioneering retail destinations in Dubai during the early stages of the city's urban transformation.

At the time of its opening, BurJuman quickly became a symbol of modern retail, bringing international brands under one roof, which was a novel concept in the Middle East in the early 1990s.

BurJuman Mall covers approximately 800,000 square feet, featuring over 300 retail stores, a mix of international and local brands across fashion, electronics, cosmetics, and jewelry. It also offers more than 40 restaurants and cafes, providing a diverse range of dining options. The mall is known for family entertainment facilities such as Magic Planet, a large indoor amusement area for children, as well as wellness centers including gyms and spas.

Over the years, the mall has undergone multiple renovations and expansions, most notably the South Wing extension in 2007, which increased the total retail space to 800,000 square feet and was complemented by the incorporation of a luxury residential tower, a hotel building, and a business tower nearby.

BurJuman has continued adapting to the evolving retail landscape by modernizing its facilities and enhancing the shopping experience, positioning itself as a vibrant lifestyle hub combining shopping, dining, entertainment, and business. Its location is also strategically advantageous, directly connected to the Dubai Metro via the BurJuman metro station, integrating convenient access with the city’s wider transportation network.
