The Torch

The Torch, also known as The Marina Torch or Dubai Torch Tower, is a residential skyscraper located in the Dubai Marina district of Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Completed in 2011, it stands 352 meters (1,155 feet) tall with 86 floors above ground and four basement levels, making it one of the tallest residential buildings in the world at the time of its completion.

The tower was designed by the architectural firm Khatib and Alami and developed by Select Group, featuring a swirled tip that complements its sleek exterior, which is predominantly clad in blue and white hues. It offers 676 residential apartments and six retail units, with interiors featuring marble flooring and tiled residential units.

The building includes amenities such as a swimming pool, health club, gymnasium, cafeteria, and aerobic rooms, providing luxurious living spaces for its residents.

The Torch has faced several fire incidents since its completion, including major fires in 2015, 2017, and 2019, which caused substantial damage but triggered extensive restoration efforts.

Despite these incidents, The Torch remains an iconic fixture in Dubai’s Marina skyline and continues to be highly sought after by expatriates and residents who value its prime location and panoramic views of the surrounding waterfront developments, including Dubai Marina Yacht Club and Dubai Marina Walk. Its proximity to multiple Dubai Tram and Metro stations further enhances its convenience for commuting residents.

The Torch exemplifies modern high-rise residential living in Dubai, combining height, luxury, and urban lifestyle amenities.

Travel makes a wise man better, but a fool worse.
