The Palm Trump International Hotel & Tower

The Palm Trump International Hotel & Tower was initially proposed as a luxurious mixed-use skyscraper located on the trunk of the Palm Jumeirah in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

Announced in 2005 as a joint venture between the Trump Organization and Dubai-based Nakheel, the project was designed to be a landmark development featuring a hotel and residential tower.

The original design was conceived by the Orlando-based design firm HHCP, with a concept nicknamed the "Golden Tulip," which featured a distinctive circular tower surrounded by four golden petals. Later, the British firm Atkins Global revised the concept, proposing two asymmetrical towers linked at the 40th floor, with 62 floors in total, one hosting a 378-room hotel and the other 397 residential apartments.

The project faced significant delays and setbacks due largely to the global financial crisis of 2008, which led Nakheel to suspend the development indefinitely in late 2008.

Efforts to revive the tower were unsuccessful for over a decade, and the project was officially canceled in 2011, with Nakheel opening Al Ittihad Park on the former site in 2012. Despite the initial project's failure, renewed plans for a new Trump International Hotel & Tower in Dubai were announced in 2025, this time located near Downtown Dubai along Sheikh Zayed Road.

This new development is planned as an 80-floor tower featuring a super-luxury hotel occupying the first 18 floors, exclusive club facilities, and high-end residences above. It is slated for completion by 2031 with an estimated cost of $1 billion, marking the Trump Organization's first entry into the Middle East's luxury hotel market.

The new tower aims to provide luxury residential units with amenities such as the world's highest pool, $20 million penthouses, and a “gold card” visa for residents, signifying a major landmark addition to Dubai's skyline and luxury real estate market.
