Al Quoz Industrial Area

Al Quoz Industrial Area is a prominent industrial district in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, known for being one of the city’s oldest and largest manufacturing and commercial hubs.

The area’s history dates back to the 1970s and 1980s when the Dubai government officially designated it for industrial development as part of a broader plan to diversify the emirate’s economy beyond oil.

Strategically located between Sheikh Zayed Road and Al Khail Road, Al Quoz Industrial Area spans approximately 27 square kilometers and is divided into four sub-communities—Al Quoz Industrial Areas 1, 2, 3, and 4—each hosting an extensive network of factories, warehouses, workshops, and heavy-duty commercial facilities.

The industrial area supports a wide range of sectors including construction materials, metal fabrication, textiles, plastic molding, printing, food processing, and automotive services, making it a crucial enabler of Dubai’s manufacturing and logistics industries.

It also accommodates large facilities such as the Dubai Refreshments (PepsiCo) bottling plant and numerous automotive showrooms and workshops. Besides industrial operations, Al Quoz has emerged as a cultural district featuring art galleries and creative spaces, particularly in its Alserkal Avenue arts complex. This fusion of industry and culture highlights the area’s unique dual identity.

To support growth and innovation, the Dubai government launched the Al Quoz Creative Zone in 2021, aimed at fostering the creative economy with infrastructure enhancements and regulatory support for sectors such as publishing, film, design, and technology.

Residential neighborhoods primarily located in the northeastern parts of Al Quoz serve many Emirati families and expatriates, while the industrial zones maintain their vital role in supporting commercial and logistical operations. With ongoing expansions and infrastructural upgrades, Al Quoz Industrial Area continues to be integral to Dubai’s economic landscape and urban development.
