Saeed-Al-Saffar, born on July 31, 1968, in Dubai, is a former Emirati cricketer who represented the United Arab Emirates at the international level. He is known as a right-handed batsman and a left-arm medium-fast bowler. Saeed made his mark notably by being part of the UAE squad in the 1996 Cricket World Cup, where the team played memorable matches, including one against the Netherlands.
Although he was the vice-captain during that tournament, he spent much of the World Cup on the bench but later became the captain of the national team.
Saeed-Al-Saffar has the remarkable achievement of scoring 209 not out against Thailand in the ACC Trophy, a rare double century in one-day cricket. He also holds a domestic record for a 217-run partnership for the third wicket in the Sharjah Cricket Stadium's Ramadhan Night Tournament.
A journey is like marriage. The certain way to be wrong is to think you control it.
