Jumeirah English Speaking School

Jumeirah English Speaking School (JESS) in Dubai is a well-established British international school founded in 1975 to address the growing demand for quality British education among the expatriate community in Dubai.

The school initially started with just 17 pupils in a small apartment near the Deira Clock Tower. Within a year, a plot of land was granted by His Highness Sheikh Rashid bin Saeed Al Maktoum, the Ruler of Dubai, enabling the school to relocate and expand in the Jumeirah area.

Over the decades, JESS has grown significantly and now operates two campuses: the original Jumeirah campus, which primarily serves early years and primary students, and the larger Arabian Ranches campus offering education from Foundation Stage through Year 13, including secondary education and sixth form.

JESS follows the National Curriculum for England and offers the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) at the senior levels, alongside the British curriculum. The school is known for its outstanding academic standards, having consistently received "Outstanding" ratings from the Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA).
