Arab Unity School

Arab Unity School, located in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, was established in 1974 by Mrs. Zainab A. Taher, a qualified and veteran educationist active in the field since 1963. The school is a private institution that follows the British curriculum and offers education from Kindergarten through to Year 13.

It prepares students for the Cambridge IGCSE examinations in Years 10 and 11, followed by AS, A2, and A Levels administered by Cambridge International Examinations (CIE) and Edexcel UK. The school became an approved center for Cambridge International Examinations in 1990 and was awarded Fellowship Centre status in 2002. It is also a test center for SAT and TOEFL examinations.

Arab Unity School currently serves approximately 3,400 students from a diverse expatriate and local community, with a student demographic predominantly of Asian origin and a small number of Emirati students.

The school aims to provide an affordable British education with a vision to create a stimulating learning environment that encourages students to discover their potential and become responsible global citizens. Facilities at the school include well-equipped IT and science laboratories, libraries, music and arts rooms, playgrounds, and auditoriums, supporting a broad and balanced educational experience.

The school has consistently received an "Acceptable" rating from the Dubai Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA), reflecting ongoing efforts to improve academic standards and student outcomes under the guidance of the Taher family, which continues to manage the institution.

The passing of the founder director, Mrs. Zainab Taher, in 2022 marked an important milestone in the school's history, underscoring her legacy in pioneering education within Dubai.
