Hyatt Regency Dubai is a five-star luxury hotel located on Deira Corniche in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. It is notable for being the first Hyatt hotel in the UAE, officially opening on May 5, 1980.
The hotel was developed with the backing of Sheikh Rashid bin Saeed Al Maktoum, the Ruler of Dubai at the time. Designed by architect Garry Whitney of 3D International, the property was among the first steel-structured buildings in Dubai, built to U.S. building standards. Hyatt Regency Dubai features 421 guest rooms and suites alongside an adjacent complex called The Galleria Residence, which offers 388 serviced apartments.
The hotel includes a revolving restaurant called Al Dawaar, the Japanese restaurant Miyako, and The Kitchen serving international cuisine, complemented by four bars including the popular Hibiki Karaoke Lounge and Carpenter’s Bar. It has extensive meeting and convention space totaling over 20,000 square feet, catering to large-scale events and corporate functions.
