Global Village

Global Village in Dubai is a renowned cultural, entertainment, and shopping destination that showcases the traditions, products, and cuisines of countries from around the world. It started modestly in 1996 as a small venue with a handful of kiosks located on the Creek Side opposite Dubai Municipality, established as part of the Dubai Shopping Festival to highlight the city's multicultural character.

Over the years, it has grown into a sprawling destination spanning over 17 million square feet, with more than 90 country pavilions representing diverse cultures globally. The venue moved several times, from its original site to Oud Metha and then to Dubai Festival City, before settling in its current location in Dubailand in 2005, which allowed for major expansions including massive parking facilities, amusement rides, concert arenas, and shopping zones.

Global Village combines traditional cultural exhibits with a carnival atmosphere featuring live performances by international and regional artists, thrilling rides at Fantasy Island amusement park, and diverse culinary offerings from world cuisines.

It has hosted numerous prominent artists like Shahrukh Khan, Jason Derulo, and Atif Aslam, making it a vibrant hub for entertainment. The event typically runs from November to April each year, drawing millions of visitors annually, reaching over 7 million in recent seasons before the COVID-19 pandemic.

It has become the world's largest multicultural festival park, attracting tourists and residents alike with its mix of cultural pavilions, live concerts, shopping experiences, and family-friendly activities. Global Village also emphasizes innovation and sustainability by implementing advanced digital services and eco-friendly practices, continually enhancing its visitor experience while celebrating global diversity through a unique Dubai lens.
