Zabeel Park, Sheikh Zayed Road

Zabeel Park is a vast urban public park located in the Zabeel district of Dubai, bounded by Sheikh Rashid Road, Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Road, and Sheikh Zayed Road. It was officially opened to the public on December 28, 2005, by Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum and covers an area of approximately 47.5 hectares (117 acres), equivalent to about 45 football fields.

The park is managed by the Public Parks and Horticulture Department of Dubai Municipality and is designed to offer residents and visitors a multifaceted recreational space blending natural beauty, sports, entertainment, and educational attractions.

The park is divided into several interconnected areas by pedestrian bridges, featuring a variety of amenities including a 2.5-kilometer jogging track, BMX and skateboarding parks, a boating lake, picnic and barbecue areas, children’s playgrounds, cricket pitches, and a mini-golf course.

It also hosts the iconic Dubai Frame, a landmark structure rising 150 meters with a panoramic sky deck offering views that frame both old and new Dubai. Zabeel Park embraces a technology-based theme with three educational zones: the Alternative Energy Zone, Communications Zone, and Techno Zone, which offer interactive displays and a 3D cinema. The park is well-appointed with over 3,000 palm trees and 7,000 other trees of various species, enhancing its lush environment.

Zabeel Park is accessible via the Dubai Metro Red Line through the nearby Al Jafiliya Station, making it convenient for visitors to reach. It remains open year-round, offering activities suitable for all ages and interests and frequently hosting cultural events, live music, and seasonal attractions such as the Dubai Garden Glow and Dinosaur Park during the evenings.

With a modest entrance fee, Zabeel Park is one of Dubai’s largest and most popular green spaces, playing a vital role in promoting environmental sustainability and community wellness in an urban setting.
