The Sevens Stadium

The Sevens Stadium is a purpose-built multi-sport stadium located in Oud al-Baida, Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Opened in 2008, it was specifically designed to host rugby sevens and has since become the premier venue for a variety of sports including rugby, association football, Gaelic football, Australian football, netball, basketball, cricket, tennis, track and field, and baseball.

The stadium is situated at the intersection of the Dubai-Al Ain Road (E66) and the Jebel Ali-Lahbab Road (E77), and offers parking facilities for approximately 15,000 vehicles. It features eight rugby and football pitches, six cricket pitches—including both grass and synthetic surfaces—four netball and tennis courts, a basketball court, a grandstand, and comprehensive international-standard ancillary facilities.

All courts and pitches are floodlit to allow for nighttime events. The Sevens is best known for hosting the Emirates Airline Dubai Sevens, a key round in the World Rugby Sevens Series held annually since 2008.

The stadium also hosted the first HSBC A5N Youth Rugby Festival in 2009 and has become a central hub for sports events in the region.

In addition to rugby and football, the venue is developing as a key site for baseball, with plans underway to build the Middle East’s first professional baseball ballpark within its complex.

This new baseball facility is set to boost The Sevens' profile as a major multi-sport destination in Dubai. The stadium’s strategic location, size, and modern facilities have made it a vital part of Dubai’s sports infrastructure, capable of hosting large-scale international competitions and attracting diverse sporting audiences.

Few places on earth reinvent themselves as boldly as Dubai.
