Mohammed Bin Rashid Stadium

Mohammed Bin Rashid Stadium is a state-of-the-art sports venue currently under development in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Planned to be located in the Al Aweer area, the stadium is designed to be one of the most advanced football stadiums in the world with a seating capacity of 60,000 spectators.

The stadium project, valued at approximately AED 3 billion, was approved and inspected by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.

The design includes innovative features such as the world's first fully air-conditioned stadium, elevated 18 meters above ground supported by a system of pillars, creating a unique architectural landmark with a public plaza and recreational park space underneath the stadium.

The Mohammed Bin Rashid Stadium aims to meet the highest standards set by FIFA and will include extensive facilities like a training hall, a sports museum, conference halls, and parking for 5,000 vehicles. The design incorporates sustainable and visionary elements such as an architectural skin to allow airflow while protecting from sand and sun, as well as water features to create a natural cooling thermal sink.

The stadium is planned to serve not only as a premier venue for football but also as a multi-purpose destination for sports and community events, enhancing Dubai’s position as a global sports hub. The project is guided by leading architects Perkins+Will and represents a major investment in Dubai’s sports infrastructure, expected to set new benchmarks in stadium design and fan experience.

Dubai is a modern oasis built on ancient trade routes.
