Established in 2009 under the management of the International Cricket Council (ICC), the academy serves as a premier cricket training facility featuring two full-size floodlit cricket ovals with multiple turf pitches for both indoor and outdoor practice.

The ICC Academy is equipped with modern amenities including indoor practice facilities with Hawk-Eye technology, a cricket-specific gymnasium, multi-media team rooms, and physiotherapy centers, making it a comprehensive hub for cricket development.

The grounds have hosted notable international events such as the 2014 ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup, the ICC World T20 Qualifier, and warm-up matches for the 2021 ICC Men's T20 World Cup.
