DSC Hockey Stadium

The DSC Hockey Stadium is a dedicated field hockey facility situated within Dubai Sports City, a major multi-venue sports complex in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. It features two International Hockey Federation (FIH) standard water-based artificial turf pitches, making it the only dedicated hockey venue of this type in Dubai.

The stadium serves as the home base for the WorldHockey Academy, which was established through a partnership between Dubai Sports City and the FIH to promote and develop field hockey in the UAE region. The academy provides a range of coaching programs designed to introduce the sport to new players, develop talent at various skill levels, and foster the growth of local leagues, mainly targeting the Emirati community.

The stadium also houses the administrative offices of the UAE Hockey Committee, supporting the governance and development of hockey in the country.

DSC Hockey Stadium gained recognition as the host venue for international tournaments such as the Asia Cup in 2009, marking its significance on the regional field hockey map. It offers elite training facilities, including the latest equipment and software for performance analysis, catering to both grassroots initiatives and professional teams preparing for international competition.

As part of Dubai Sports City, which encompasses several sports venues including cricket, football, golf, and rugby facilities, the hockey stadium contributes to the vision of creating a world-class, integrated sports hub in Dubai. The stadium and its associated academy play a key role in nurturing hockey talent and elevating the sport’s profile in the Gulf region.
