Buckinghamshire New University (BNU) is a public university based in Buckinghamshire, England, with additional campuses and facilities including an internationally recognized presence in Ajman, UAE.

The university traces its origins back to 1891 when it was founded as the School of Science and Art in High Wycombe. Initially established to provide evening classes to local residents, it evolved over the decades through various name changes and expansions reflecting broader educational mandates.

The institution became High Wycombe College of Art and Technology in 1963, merged with Newland Park College of Education in 1975, and was renamed Buckinghamshire College of Higher Education. In 1999, the college was awarded university college status, becoming Buckinghamshire Chilterns University College, before receiving full university status in 2007 and adopting its current name.

The Ajman campus represents Buckinghamshire New University’s commitment to global education and collaboration, offering internationally recognized programs tailored to meet the needs of students in the UAE and the wider region.
