Bollywood Parks Dubai

Bollywood Parks Dubai was a theme park located within Dubai Parks and Resorts in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, dedicated to the vibrant and popular Indian film industry, Bollywood. Officially opened to the public on November 17, 2016, the park was the first Bollywood-themed park in the world and part of a larger entertainment complex that includes Motiongate Dubai, LEGOLAND Dubai, and LEGOLAND Water Park.

Spanning approximately 19 hectares, Bollywood Parks Dubai celebrated the music, dance, and drama of Indian cinema through a variety of rides, live shows, and themed attractions inspired by famous Bollywood movies and characters.

The park featured several zones, each themed around blockbuster films such as "Sholay," "Krrish," "Dilwale," "Lagaan," and others, with attractions ranging from ride-based experiences to immersive cinematic adventures. Highlights included Sholay:

The Hunt for Gabbar Singh, an interactive dark ride based on the classic 1975 film, and Krrish: Hero’s Flight, a flying theater attraction. Other engaging experiences included a cricket-themed motion simulator ride and a 3D film based on the superhero movie RA.One. The park combined live entertainment, dance performances, and themed dining options to bring Bollywood stories to life.

Despite its cultural uniqueness and immersive offerings, Bollywood Parks Dubai faced challenges related to attendance and operational costs. The park permanently closed on April 20, 2023, after being shut temporarily in March 2023 during Ramadan.

Following its closure, the area was rethemed and transformed into Real Madrid World, the world’s first football-themed park, which officially reopened in April 2024. Bollywood Parks Dubai remains a notable attempt to bring Bollywood culture into a themed entertainment setting, reflecting Dubai’s broader strategy of creating diverse, globally appealing leisure destinations.
