Al-Rashid Stadium
Al-Rashid Stadium, also known as Rashid Stadium, is a prominent multi-purpose sports venue located in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. It was originally built in 1948, making it the oldest stadium in Dubai.
The stadium has a seating capacity of approximately 12,000 spectators, which was temporarily expanded to around 18,000 during events like the 2019 AFC Asian Cup through the addition of temporary stands, allowing it to accommodate larger crowds for major competitions.
Rashid Stadium primarily hosts football and rugby matches, serving as the home ground of the Shabab Al Ahli Club, one of Dubai's leading football clubs.
Throughout its history, Rashid Stadium has been a key venue for several international tournaments, including the 2003 FIFA World Youth Championship, the 2013 FIFA U-17 World Cup, and the 2019 AFC Asian Cup. During the 2019 AFC Asian Cup, it hosted multiple group stage matches as well as a Round of 16 match, highlighting its ongoing importance in hosting international football events.
